Placing the Ante Bet
A game of Caribbean Draw Poker begins with the player playing the ante bet. The ante bet is placed by clicking on the chips at the bottom of the screen and then placing them on the betting area. Once the ante bet is placed, the player can then click on the deal button. The dealer will then deal the player five cards face up and himself five cards with one card showing. The aim of Caribbean Draw is to beat the dealer by creating the highest poker hand possible using the five cards dealt.
Folding or Raising
Once the cards are dealt, players must decide if they want to fold or raise the bet. If players fold, they will forfeit their ante bet. If players decide to raise, the ante bet is doubled and the player can choose two cards to be replaced. In Caribbean Draw Poker once the second set of cards have been dealt, the dealer will flip over his hand and see if he can beat the player’s poker hand. The dealer will also get a chance to swap out two of his cards.
If the Dealer Qualifies
In Caribbean Draw Poker the dealer must qualify with a pair of eights or higher. If the dealer does not quality, the ante bet pays out even money and the raise bet is a push. If the dealer does qualify the two hands are compared. If the players hand wins, the payouts are determined by the winning poker hand according to the paytable in the game. If the player loses the hand, they lose the ante bet and the raise bet.
